DAY 3

Monday
October 11
DAY 3

10:35 am

Ok, So, Day 3 begins!  Beans and I were Up at 7:30 am.  Since we rolled in last night after dark, we did not realize that we had transitioned into the Desert!
Good morning from an RV Park

How stunning it was in the morning.  We had our coffee  in the morning out in front of our “home”
Guess who lives in This RV?

I have forgotten how much I truly LOVE the desert!

Toilet update:
Toilet

I conquered my Fear!   I was able to use the Toilet in the RV.  Not so bad.  NOT GREAT, But not Bad!   Was even able to take a shower  in the RV.  Its not as glamorous as a home shower, but hey, At least I am clean!

Also smashed the shit out of my finger,  slammed it in the RV door.  I think I have permantly altered my fingerprint on that finger!  THANK GOD I brought a  first aid kit with me!

CaLlco Ghost town
Born in March of 1881, Calico Mining district became one of the richest mining sites in the states.  There were over 500 mines.  This once bustling city of 1200, now only boasts 3 residents.   Today, Calico is one of the few remaining original mining towns in the western United States.

Day 3 ended with pulling into the Palms RV resort.
The palms
I have to say, this oasis in the dessert is my idea of utopia!   Part Suburbia, part Disney. It is a landscaped, gated community.  So beautiful.

Beans and I pulled in, went to the pool, and  proceeded to grill up turkey burgers and went in the hot tub.  We weren’t sure how long the pool was opened, so of course, I was manic, needing to get in and get out quickly as to not break any rules!

After our burgers were finished grilling, Beans and I put on our mosquito net shirts and sat out behind our RV,  looking up at the stars.  I may, or may not have taken a magic cookie after dinner, Beans and I just sat there and stared up at the stars. It was so unbelievably beautiful, I felt so very blessed to be able to have the opportunity to be living the moment.  IT was the Perfect RV night!  Sorry, we couldn’t get pictures, but it was to dark for the iphone to handle!
