I have Arrived!!

San Fran –Amsterdam

This 8-hour flight was NOT as bad as I thought it would be!  The fabulous think about European airlines, is that they feed you NON STOP!  IT was AWESOME!  They also let you watch all the movies and the shows for Free.  I watched so much TV, that time just flew by.  (Of course the regular supply of Xanax helped A LOT!

When I got off the plane in Amsterdam, I was just in time to meet Dad there waiting to go through security to get on the next 9-hour flight to Africa!  Although this plane seemed a bit older. The movies were still free, and the food was still plentiful!  The USA Airline systems should really take a lesson from KLM.  I am sure this is what flying was like back in the day.

In conclusion, the flight was NOT as bad as I have been anticipating!  And I do not even dread the thought of doing it again on the way home

Arrival in AFRICA!

We deplaned right on to the outside of the airport I really think we may have been the only plane there.  But it was pretty dark!   It was very cool to get off the plane and stand next to this huge vehicle that took us so many miles from home.  Had to watch Dads bags while he literally walked to almost the front of the plane to try and photograph it.  Check out the pictures. It was amazing!
We are both so totally excited that this day is FINALLY here!

Hitting the road!
I am sitting here in the Jeep with my dad to my left and f other group members, a driver and I guide. We are one of 3 jeeps.  We just left the airport.  Word to the wise, When in Africa, careful when you take out your money. While we were loading the vans, all the porters from the airport would come up to you and just say TIP!  Once you start handing out 1 dollar bills, they ALL want own.  It was a bit overwhelming, and I was had to remove myself from the situation and wait in the jeep! Ended up like passing out 20, 1-dollar bills in less then a minute!

I have to say, so far, my thinking ahead has worked to my advantage.  Check me out with my photon light typing as we make the night time five to our hotel!
Yes, Very cool!   Can’t wait to pull out my STARS!!

I am very excited to be able to claim the room all to myself tonight, Dad is rooming with ROB, For those of you who don’t know, Dad paid for a single room for me, and we are going to rotate around and share it! , But I have to say, I am sooo very blessed to be able to hang my hat and get acclimated tonight w without any distractions!

 Serena Hotel, Tanzania

WOW!! This place is amazing!! I cant even BELIEVE it!  They greeted us at the Front walkway with warm towels to freshen up with, and then the next person was there with a tray of fresh pineapple juice!  And the Room,
Well, Lets just check it out!!   I have very limited amount of internet time, so Please ignore any of the typos and /or bad grammer!
